Fire department switch

PV fireman's switch - maximum safety for your solar system

With the ever-increasing number of photovoltaic systems, it is becoming more and more common for firefighters to come across solar power systems during their operations. Although the cause of the operation is rarely a fire caused by the solar system, the danger remains that the system cannot be de-energized. The real challenge for the emergency services is not the direct spraying of water, but the danger posed by walls, floors and cable ducts under water during internal attacks.

Intelligent security solutions

With our PV firefighting switches, we at enwitec offer an intelligent safety solution that reliably de-energizes the lines in the building. This minimizes the danger to firefighters considerably. Our PV firefighting switches are located either directly after the roof inlet or, if installed in a protected outdoor area, directly on the PV generator. They de-energize the lines into the building on demand or automatically in conjunction with an existing fire alarm system.

Highest safety standards

Public buildings, industrial buildings and warehouses in particular are subject to increased safety requirements. We combine conventional connection technology for PV systems with the PVSEC disconnector and thus offer individual and freely scalable solutions up to the megawatt range. Our solutions can be used to de-energize the DC cables installed in the building.

Certified quality

Our enwitec fireman’s switches are certified to IEC 60947-3 and are planned to customer specifications and built on site – Made in Germany.
