In addition to bundling several strings at string busbar terminals, our GAKs integrate surge protection elements that protect other components of the photovoltaic system, in particular the inverter and the solar modules, from overvoltages, e.g. caused by lightning strikes.
Our generator junction boxes fulfil far more tasks in modern PV systems than just protection. Due to the large number of strings, individual faults and failures in the system are often difficult or impossible to recognise. With their integrated measurement technology, our combiner boxes offer maximum yield reliability. In addition, they enable partial systems to be disconnected during maintenance work with the help of appropriate disconnection points in the field, without affecting the remaining parts of the system.
