With the PowerStop Corrente, enwitec presents the further development of the proven “PV Remote Shutdown”.

This system was specifically developed to meet the strict requirements of the new Italian fire protection directive (valid from 01.09.2025).
Unlike previous systems, which often only disconnected the PV generators from the inverter, the PowerStop Corrente offers a holistic approach.

It is a modular system that offers maximum flexibility for the installer and guaranteed conformity for the system operator. It is the answer to the complex question: “How do I really switch everything off in the event of a fire?”

Central separation of all voltage sources

The core task of the PowerStop Corrente is the complete electrical isolation of the customer’s electrical system from all energy feeders. In an emergency (activation of the emergency stop or triggering by the fire alarm system), the system isolates the building electrically.
It isolates not only the photovoltaics, but all power generators (“corrente”):

Direct voltage (DC): PV strings, battery storage (cabling to the battery inverter).
Alternating voltage (AC): PV inverters, hybrid inverters, grid connection (EVU), emergency power generators, combined heat and power plants.

The result: a guaranteed voltage-free building for the emergency services at a marked, easily accessible location.

For which systems & projects is it suitable?

From single-family homes to industrial plants.

Thanks to the modular design of the PSUs (Power Shutdown Units) and the cascadable RSU (Remote Shutdown Unit), enwitec covers the entire market:

Residential (residential buildings): Solutions up to 63A (AC) and compact DC disconnection for PV and home storage.
C&I (commercial & industrial): Scalable up to approx. 500A (AC) and high-performance DC isolation (up to 1,500V / 160A for battery strings).
Complex hybrid systems: Ideal for systems with sector coupling (PV + storage + generator + grid).

Market focus: Primarily for Italy (mandatory compliance with new standard), but can be used without restriction throughout the EU for projects with increased safety requirements.

Comprehensive monitoring

The RSU not only monitors the switch position (on/off), but also the status of the overvoltage protection (SPD).

Single-fault safety

The system is based on closed-circuit current monitoring. A cable break in the control line leads to automatic switch-off (fail-safe).

Modular principle

One RSU controls up to 10 PSUs. Flexible combination of AC and DC units.
