The PowerShield 500 is a state-of-the-art grid and system protection device that has been developed in accordance with the new extension of the power limits of the Low Voltage Directive VDE-AR-N 4105. It serves as decoupling protection on the generating unit and is only to be operated in conjunction with a higher-level decoupling protection or equivalent in accordance with the TAR of the respective grid connection level (normally “medium voltage” in accordance with VDE-AR-N 4110).
The product includes the mains protection relay, associated test disconnect terminals, the communication connection and the coupling switch.
